Amanda Hesser spent the last six years sifting through the archives of the New York Times to search out the best food recipes that have appeared in that newspaper over the past 150 years. The result is "The Essential New York Times Cookbook-Classic Recipes for a New Century." This massive cookbook could be destined to become a classic.

Geraldine Brooks, the Dayton Literary Peace Prize 2010 lifetime achievement winner on moments of peace. Also included are closing thoughts from Nick Clooney, the master of ceremonies for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize awards.

In the late 1960's, three young musicians from Dayton Ohio, Suzanne Thomas, Rick Good and Dave Edmundson, formed the Hotmud Family and began performing traditional music on stages in the Miami Valley and beyond.  On October 1, 2, and 3, 2010, WYSO hosted a Hotmud Family Reunion at Canal Street Tavern in Dayton.
