- In a new novel Maiden Flight, Connecticut writer Harry Haskell recreates his grandfather’s storybook romance with Katharine Wright, the Wright brothers’ younger sister. Reading Katharine’s love letters inspired these reflections on an age-old mode of communication.
- Say the word cartoonist and most of us picture someone like Charles Schulz or Garry Trudeau drawing on one of those slanted tables. Those working in the comic arts today have options far beyond pen and ink, but while some cartoonists have fully embraced digital technologies, others have faithfully remained traditional. Community Voices producer Will Davis introduces us to two local artists with very different styles.

- Patterson Homestead was built in 1816 and to celebrate its 200 years, Dayton History is feverishly working to complete some new restorations to the historic building - all in time for an open-to-the-public birthday party on November 12th called Home and Harvest. Merry Masterson is the assistant director of education for Dayton History. This week, we spoke with her and Director Alex Heckman who gave us a tour of the Homestead.
