Attorney Gen. Mike DeWine this week announced $971,000 in grants to eight Ohio veterans-service organizations. The recipient groups include five Ohio chapters of Honor Flight. Since 2005, the organization has transported hundreds of veterans to see memorials in Washington D.C.. Honor Flight Dayton President and Director Jim Salaman says the money will go a long way toward expanding services to veterans.

On Friday, WYSO Music Director Niki Dakota and Jeff Opt from the Yellow Cab Tavern in Dayton had a conversation about the upcoming event at the Dayton Art Institute - The last Waltz is back for another run - wonderful performances from some very talented local artists. Here’s some of what they had to say.

WYSO Curious Producer Liam Niemeyer searches for the answer. *WYSO Curious is sponsored by Proto BuildBar, proud supporter of curious minds. Ask a question for WYSO reporters on our website.

Bill Felker has this week's Poor Will's Almanack.
