What's Great in Dayton: June 28 - July 4, 2013

Cityfolk Festival- Ruthie Foster 2012

A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Dayton Art Institute.  This is Zoot's Summer Series and it is an entirely new concept in professional, outdoor theatre! Have a delicious boxed meal, a bottle of wine, and experience a show at the same time! One of Shakespeare's best known plays and perfect for a summer evening at The DAI.

The Cityfolk Festival is Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the downtown Dayton Riverscape MetroPark. And on Sunday at 10:00PM are the Dayton Fireworks!!!!

The Sunday Market, aka Garden Station, 509 E. Fourth St. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. This is the only local produce outlet in Montgomery County which is open on a Sunday. The Sunday Market will run weekly from June 16th through mid October. Show your support for our local farmers and local, organically produced foods by shopping local!

The original art pieces that were created for the Human Race are now part of an art auction. Go to the Human Race Art Auction.  The auction is over on June 30.

This summer, The Dayton Art Institute is celebrating our longstanding love of sports and competition with a pair of sports-themed special exhibitions,  Andy Warhol: Athletes and The Art of Sport: Highlights from the Collection of The Dayton Art Institute. Check it out at the DAI.
