Today is First Friday, and that means it starts with a bang in downtown Dayton. There is a free art hop featuring exhibit openings at the galleries, along with a variety of entertainment options, arts, demonstrations, live music and more.
Beautiful organ music will be the theme for Organic Masterpieces, on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm, at Shiloh Church. They will perform several choral works written for the organ, along with several others in the a cappella tradition.
CRAFT BEER MEETS FINE FOOD! Dayton's premier craft beer and food-pairing event is celebrating its 6th year in the beautiful and historic Masonic Center located in downtown Dayton. This is Saturday, 4-7pm.
You can learn the bedrock geology and its use in Oakwood, its local quarrying history, the Rubicon Creek, and the 1913 Flood and how these geologic topics relate to some of the people, places, and things that are part of Oakwood's history. This presentation is Sunday, at 2 pm, Wright Memorial Public Library.
The National Park Service is celebrating Black History Month at the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center. Films will be available on Sundays from open to close and they will loop endlessly throughout the day. It's all FREE and so is the Popcorn! This Sunday is about Booker T. Washington - The Life and the Legacy.
