Dayton’s biggest healthcare network is having a job fair this weekend. Premier Health, which runs Miami Valley Hospital and several other facilities, is hiring for over 600 positions ranging from medical assistants to secretaries.
The company is growing, with a new emergency center recently opened in Mason and another opening this fall in Englewood. That mirrors the growth in the healthcare industry around the country. Nursing continues to be one of the most in-demand occupations. And healthcare support occupations—which includes nurses, orderlies and home health aides—are expected to grow more than any other sector in the region through 2022.
JobsOhio is predicting almost 5,000 new healthcare support jobs in the greater Dayton area over ten years.
The job fair is Saturday, August 29 from 10am-3pm at the Dayton Convention Center.
