A self-proclaimed "deficit hawk," Voinovich is still preaching that the country needs to both cut spending and raise taxes. He has endorsed Republican Mitt Romney even though Romney supports extending the Bush tax cuts that Voinovich says are so unaffordable. Voinovich explains that contradiction. He also talks about the U.S. Senate race between Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and state Republican Treasurer Josh Mandel, a contest that is tightening according to the latest polls.
