The big races ahead on March 15 include presidential primaries and a special election to fill House Speaker John Boehner’s seat. And, as usual, residents will vote on a number of local options for new and additional property taxes to support roads, emergency services and schools.

Jackson Township: Current expenses, additional, .7-mill, five-year levy; Police and EMS, renewal, 1.8-mill, five-year levy
Jefferson Township: Fire and EMS, additional, 3.75-mill, three-year levy; Police and EMS, additional, 3.85-mill, three-year levy
Miami Township: Streets, road and bridges, additional, 2-mill, five-year levy;
Village of New Lebanon: Fire and police protection, replacement, 5-mill levies
City of Trotwood: Current expenses, renewal, 5.75-mill, five-year levy
