Funeral services have been announced for an Ohio State athlete found dead in a trash bin of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot  wound.

The services for Kosta Karageorge will be held Wednesday at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Columbus with a private burial in Athens County.

Football teammates have remembered Karageorge, a walk-on player, as hard-working and enthusiastic.

After Karageorge went missing his mother, Susan Karageorge, told police her son had had several concussions and a few spells of being extremely confused.

A woman looking for scrap metal found the body of the 22-year-old Karageorge Sunday in Columbus.

The Franklin County coroner says a special examination will look for signs of traumatic brain injury related to a history of concussions.
