Clark State To Participate In Aerospace Engineering Center Study

Clark State Community College is part of a group of seven regional partners that will share a $50,000 grant from the Ohio Development Services Agency to study the need for a local aerospace engineering training center.

The money comes from a Local Government Innovation Fund grant and will help the partners examine how a training center would benefit high school and adult students in Clark and Greene Counties and the surrounding region.

The study will look at the feasibility of creating a stand-alone aerospace-based STEM center for students in grades 9-12 from all across the region. The center would also provide certificate-based programs for adults.

The Greene County Career Center will lead the project. Beavercreek City Schools, and Wright State University are also involved. The Aerospace Professional Development Center, Peerless Technologies and The Greentree Group will join Clark State as partners in the project.
