Book Nook: The Trespasser, by Tana French and Catwise, by Pam Johnson-Bennett

In this Book Nook edition we present two different authors presenting two very different books. Call it a Book Nook double header.

Tana French returned to the program to discuss her latest psychological thriller featuring the Dublin Murder Squad. French is considered to be the First Lady of Irish Crime and this series has become immensely popular. Each book features different investigators and in "The Trespasser" we find a pair of detectives who have been called in to examine what seems to be a fairly open and shut case. The homicide scene indicates that a beautiful young woman has been murdered in her home. The table was set for a romantic dinner. The food was being cooked and then someone had turned off the stove. It must have been a lovers' quarrel, right? They question the boyfriend.

Then things start getting a little bit strange. This case becomes far more complicated than anyone might have thought. We don't find out how this case will be resolved until the very end of this exquisite novel.

In the second portion of the program I spoke to Pam Johnson Bennett about cats and their behavior. If you are a cat person you won't want to miss this one. The author has some wise and insightful things to say about our feline companions. I waited until the interview had ended to reveal to her that I'm a cat man myself. I have eleven cats. Each one of them is unique and truly wonderful.
