When Glenn Beck tells the story of Wilmington, it's a town like Bedford Falls, from the holiday movie classic, "It's A Wonderful Life". He's in Wilmington today to showcase, what he calls, a town that gets it', one built on self reliance in the face of economic devastation.

"And this town hasn't taken any money from the government. They don't want any money from the government. They don't want any money. And I ask them why? They say God will provide. If we have faith, he will provide. We don't need it from the government," says Beck on his show.

US diplomat Richard Holbrooke, died last night at the age of 69.President Obama called Holbrook a "true giant of American Foreign Policy". He served as the Presidents special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan and his career spanned decades, working with every Democratic President since John F. Kennedy. In Dayton, he is best remembered as the architect of the Dayton Peace Accords.

"It's a loss for the country, it's loss of Dayton. We loved him and he loved us right back," says Dayton City Commissioner Matt Joseph.

A local filmmaker is taking on problems that face education in the U.S. The documentary is called "No Textbook Answer: Communities Confront The Achievement Gap". It will show at the "Little Art Theater" in Yellow Springs Saturday followed by a community discussion.

A Senior Airmen with the 88th communication squadron who was injured in Afghanistan a year ago has died. Wright Patterson Air Force Base announced that Tre Porfirio passed away Sunday morning while visiting friends over the Thanksgiving holiday. He was 22 years old.
