Job Posting: Part-time Finance and Accounting Manager
WYSO Public Radio station in Yellow Springs, Ohio seeks a part-time Finance and Accounting Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, hourly
SUPERVISOR: General Manager
WORK SCHEDULE: 20 hours per week. Some weekends required.
Position Summary: Manages overall business operations of the station, performs station financial and accounting functions, manages and operates station’s membership software system, advises General Manager and Development Director of financial issues, prepares annual budget.
Responsibilities:

Develops annual budget

Responsible for all budget tracking and analysis

Responsible for station billing and accounts receivable for both membership, and underwriting as well as accounts payable.

Calculates monthly underwriting commission
-
Tracks and tallies member donations during fund drives
-
Responsible for all cash receipts and credit card processing.

Responsible for entering monthly trade revenue
-
Responsible for preparing journal entries
-
Coordinates audit requests for both external and internal audits.

Responsible for preparing report analysis and financial information for the University Board of Governors finance committee and WYSO Resource Board. Oversees the financial section of all WYSO grant applications

Tracks expenses for all grants and assists with financial reporting necessary for compliance with the grants.

Manages WYSO’s CPB annual grant application process

Responsible for monthly reconciliations of revenue with Antioch University finance staff
-
Communicates with WYSO members and donors as needed to reconcile their account issues
-
Prepares tax receipts for donors

Acts as liaison with appropriate University offices

Other duties as assigned
Knowledge:
Proven experience and knowledge of financial management and accounting including budgeting, financial reporting, preparation, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of working with and adapting integrated software platforms.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to analyze financial and numeric data. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external clients, including members, donors, underwriters, banks, granting organizations, etc.
Must possess excellent attention to detail and superior organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects while working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Must be proficient with an integrated financial database, Word, Excel, the Internet and electronic email systems.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. Three to five years experience in a successful business environment. Experience in a non-profit setting preferred.
